Flintec Opens New Cutting-Edge Strain Gauge Facility in Sri Lanka

We are excited to announce the opening of our brand-new facility in Sri Lanka, dedicated to the manufacture of strain gauges.

Flintec is among a select few in the weight and force measurement technology industry that produce their own strain gauges. Why? Because it allows us to maintain complete control over production, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy in our products.

The manufacturing process is complex, requiring precise control of temperature, humidity, and cleanliness. A standout feature of the new building is the state-of-the-art ISO 6 clean room, covering 400sqm (4,300sqf).

The purpose-built facility, located next to our existing load cell production building, spans 2,500sqm (27,000sqf).

Sustainability was central to this project. We’ve been able to increase manufacturing output while minimising our environmental impact, achieving a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions. The facility generates its own power through solar energy and incorporates high-quality, energy-efficient equipment.

Once fully operational, the facility will significantly boost our production capacity, with scope for future expansion.
