Restriction of Hazardous Substance (RoHS)

RoHS is an EU directive governing the use of hazardous materials found in electrical products. The directive seeks to prohibit homogeneous materials such as lead, mercury and cadmium.

All electrical products sold into the EU after July 1, 2006 must be RoHS compliant. At Flintec, we source and manufacture electrical components for a variety of applications. We ensure that all of our products are RoHS compliant.

Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH)

REACH aims to provide high levels of protection for humans and the environment following the use of chemicals. REACH applies to materials imported or manufactured into the EU in quantities greater than 1 tonne.

Compliance requires that chemicals, or items containing chemicals, are registered with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) for use or importation.

Flintec products do not contain substances of high concern above the thresholds required by the ECHA and are therefore compliant.
