IP66 Weatherproof Junction Box For Load Cells

Flintec has a range of weatherproof junction box solutions for load cells ­- whether you need IP66 or Atex (EEx) protection levels.

All the following items in our weatherproof junction box range are rated to IP66, making them dust-tight and capable of withstanding powerful jets of water:

• KA1 Junction Box, Aluminium -­ connects 1 load cell to instrumentation.
• KA-KAK Junction Box, Aluminium -­ available in three versions. The KA-4 and KAK connect 3-4 load cells in parallel. (KA-6 can link up to 6 load cells).
• KP-KPK Junction Box, Polyester ­- connects 3-4 load cells in parallel. There are 2 versions (KP-4 has solder connections, KPK has clamps).
• KPF Junction Box, Polyester ­- 4 versions are available. KPF-4, KPF-6, KPF-8 and KPF-10. (The number denotes how many load cells they can connect).
• KPFD-8 Junction Box, Polyester -­ a weatherproof junction box for weigh bridge and silo applications. Connects up to 8 Type RC3D load cells.

ATEX Weatherproof Junction Box, IP66

For applications that require protection against explosions, Flintec offers ATEX Junction Boxes. These are also rated to IP66.

Atex junction boxes are available in aluminium, stainless steel and polyester. Each is rated for EEx ia IIC T6 explosion protection.

Each aluminium and stainless steel weatherproof junction box can connect up to 4 load cells. (Polyester box connects 6 or 8 load cells).
