In-House Manufacturing
Here at Flintec we believe it is important to keep the critical stages of manufacture in-house. This allows for better quality control and ensures you receive products of the highest standard. Locations
Sri Lanka is the home of Flintec’s manufacturing where we have two modern facilities. The first in Katunayake near the capital Colombo. The second is in Koggala, which is close to Galle in the south of the island.
Our Katunayake facility houses our machining and heat treatment facilities. It focuses on the production of general industrial sensors.
Our Koggala facility focuses on strain gauge and medical product manufacturing. It also generates sensors in high volume for a variety of industry sectors.
The combined manufacturing space at our disposal is 12, 000m2.
Between our two facilities, our manufacture capabilities outshine most other loadcell suppliers.
Quality Control
Both our facilities are ISO 9001 and 13485 certified. The former indicates the implementation of a quality management system. This enables us to deliver a consistent service that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
The latter is a quality management system for the design and manufacture of medical devices. This makes us an ideal load cell manufacturer to work with on projects within the medical industry.
Our facilities also employ modern manufacturing techniques. These include cellular manufacturing, lean production, 5S, Kaizen and Six Sigma. This ensures a consistent product quality and enables continuous improvements throughout the manufacturing process.

All manufacturing activity is traceable via our shop-floor data capture system. This covers material procurement, machining, heat treatment, inspection and assembly, calibration and despatch. Flintec Sri Lanka is certified to OHSAS 18001:2007 for occupational health & safety. OHSAS certification ensures best practice in relation to risk management as well as the health, safety and well-being of both our employees and the public.
