IP65 Standard KEK-4 Stainless Steel Junction Box

The KEK-4 Stainless Steel Junction Box is designed to connect up to 4 load cells:

• rugged construction, built to IP65 standard
• can be connected to instrumentation with a shielded 6-wire cable
• cable connection with clamping terminals
• corner trimming by resistors
• cable gland for 4-8mm cable
• dimensions 200mm x 105mm x 40mm.

IP65 Standard Defined

The IP65 standard is a recognised International Protection (Ingress Protection) rating that means:

• 1st digit (6) ­- dust tight, no ingress of dust.
• 2nd digit (5) ­- water projected by a nozzle against the enclosure from any direction will have no harmful effects.

For further protection, you will need:

• IP66 ­- water projected in powerful jets against the enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects.
• IP67 ­- harmful water ingress will not be possible when the enclosure is immersed in up to 1 metre of water.
• IP68 ­- enclosure suitable for continuous immersion in water under conditions specified by the manufacturer. This usually means that the enclosure is hermetically sealed.
